Week 3 (March 22-25)

Starting to feel a little bit uneasy about where and with whom I'm situated with. As much as I'd love to be all POSITIVE  and enthusiastic about what i do and who I'm with...I feel as tho I've hardly had any experience. I don't feel as tho I'm getting any direction and I really don't want to be negative about this firm, because for the most part what I've lacked in actual work and leadership I've gained in an overwhelming amount of (as corny as it sounds) love and kindness!!! so I'm standing at a crossroad deciding whether to stay and feel comforted in the presence of really nice people or try and look for another firm with the uncertainty that any new job will hold. Thing is i already know what i should do, even tho the mere thought of acting on it is completely overwhelming...
So on that sunny note i shall say adieu and hopefully get into action!!!

Week 2 (March 7-11)

My week has progressed from being completely glued to the comp. and doing 'exciting' schedules to FINALLY being on site! We went to a factory in Phillipi that's being redone, and hopefully if i can load those pics I could show you the shear size of it-HUGE is an understatement... Anyways later in the week we went to a house that began construction in 2008, and although it's complete with the exception of finishes, we had to measure it on the sections of design that were changed-for council! The 'bossman' allowed me to redo the changes which i was completely excited about-trust me anything without schedules is a breath o fresh air:) Yup so far this week was rather exciting, especially since you start to become much closer with the people that you work with-it's been bliss. Cannot wait for what lies ahead...

My First week!!!

So this week I finally BEGAN my internship! Was such a nice change to be working, and actually being interested in what you do, compared to the standard mundane weekend job.. Okay okay so the first week was a tad slow, doing a bunch of schedules and basically being GLUED in front of the comp, but hey everyone has to start at the bottom before you can become the BIG FISH (which is every student's intention as cliche as it may seem)!!!

I'm still trying to organise how to manage my time correctly, esp with previous commitments...by the end of the day, energy levels are low and I don't even know what my name is (dramatic, but strangely True)! So ya, these are exciting times-hardly ever a dull moment!!!

For the first time in my 'working-history', I'm excited to go to 'work' and will probably hold the record for the longest period I've stayed @ a 'job';) Yay me!!!
